The unexploited paradise of Masbate - Pawa Mangrove Park
Pawa Mangrove Park is a 1.3 km long footbridge located on the outskirts of the City center of Masbate. This paradise is truly unexploited and a good place to visit when you feel like to get lost in abyss.
My trip to Pawa Mangrove Park was a bit of a struggle to be honest. Most of the trike drivers I asked doesn't even know where the mangrove park is. The driver I hired said he knew where the park was. Unfortunately, he doesn't. He brought me to a far flung mountain place. Anyways, it was a fun experience getting lost though but kind of dangerous. I got scared actually. So I told him to just drop me off at the highway. I rode another tricycle and I'm glad the driver knew where the place is. Just a tip, if you wanna visit to Pawa Mangrove Park, never ever tell them you are going to Pawa. The starting point of the park is just located few kilometers from the city center. The entrance of the mangrove park is located in Brgy. Malinta. Just tell the driver to drop you off at N. DELOS SANTOS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.
You will have to go down the stairs and turn to the right and it will lead you to the mangrove park. After that, just go straight and it will lead you to the road as shown below:
Just follow the pathway and you won't get lost. In less than 3 minutes, it will lead you to the one of the ends of the footbridge.
There are houses near the starting point of the bridge. Make sure not to make unnecessary noises and respect the locals there.
Now, just walk straight and it will lead you to the scenic utopia of Pawa Mangrove Park.

The best time to go here is between 3PM to 6PM. The place is really peaceful and gives you time to get lost in your own thoughts.
At first, I really felt scared walking through the foot bridge. But, I got used to it after a while. I decided to look back after walking more than a hundred of meters from the starting point.
Enjoy the sea breeze while walking through the bridge. Enjoy the view and don't forget to take selfies and pictures of the panoramic view this paradise offers.
A cottage in the middle of the track. You can rest there and eat some snacks. Enjoy the sea breeze and take photographs.

After a 15-20 minute walk, the path will take you to the Garden of Eden. It is indeed a beautiful paradise.
Pawa Mangrove Park is a beautiful paradise that you should visit once you are in Masbate. It is a treasure that even the locals are not familiar with.
GETTING THERE AND GOING BACK TO THE CITY CENTER
1. Hire a tricycle from the city public market. Fare is P130-150 or cheaper.
2. Tell the driver to drop you off at N. Delos Santos Elementary School.
3. Once finished touring the park, go to the highway, ride a tricycle back to the city. Fare is less than P20.
